Extra-Long Zippers (72 Inches And Over)
Extra-long zippers can be used for a variety of projects, including tents, sleeping bags, and upholstery. Also, if you are needing zippers for boats, chances are the zippers you are looking for need to be at least 72 inches (or 6 feet long). The zippers found here range from 6 feet long to 30 feet long and are designed for larger-scale applications.
Our heavy-duty zippers for tents and sleeping bags often come with a choice of sliders so that the zipper is sure to function the way you need it to. For example, if you are replacing a zipper on a tent door, most likely you will want a two-handle non-lock slider, this will allow for both inside and outside access. If you need your long zipper to separate at the bottom, be sure to order a replacement zipper that is described as "separating."
If you don't need the zipper to separate completely at the bottom, then consider ordering continuous zipper chain by the yard and a corresponding slider, which will allow you to cut your zipper to whatever custom length you choose. Zipper chain by the yard often allows for significantly longer zippers for upholstery, cushions, etc. than what you can find if you're just looking at stock zipper lengths.
