These heavy duty zippers can be used as replacements for chaps zippers. The zipper teeth are made of heavy duty metal. The #10 gauge means the zipper teeth measure 10 milometers (about 1/2 inch) wide when zipped. If you are sewing both zippers on a pair of chaps, order one left handed by checking the "make left-handed" box after selecting the appropriate length. We will reattach the slider to the other side to create a left handed zipper for chaps.
