Description
The #8 standard slider for molded plastic zipper is an auto-lock slider that is compatible with #8 molded plastic zippers and #8 molded plastic zipper chain.
It is primarily used for applications where the zipper needs to stay in place until the slider tab is pulled, such as jackets.

Guide for selecting pull is great. Guide on installing a new pull is hard to find but is good.

David Fern 7.5 mm winter coat zipper -> #8 slider.
Easy install after removing the old top stops (via wire cutters).
Replaced both sliders and the top stops (pliers to close the new stops in place).
Don't forget to:
1. Identify your zipper type from Zipper Shipper's guide
2. Measure your zipper width per Zipper Shipper's guide
3. Pick the right slider per Zipper Shipper's guide
4. Buy 2 new top stops, since installing new sliders means cutting off the old ones (Zipper Shipper has packs of 10)

Frankie59 I was dreading putting in a new zipper on a favorite jacket so I chanced ordering just the slider to see if I could make it work. Your instructions on how to measure and the names of all of the different sliders was very helpful in obtaining the correct one. The order came quickly and within 10 minutes of receiving it I had successfully fixed the zipper and it works perfectly. My only comment to the negative is I wish you offered more colors.

This was an economical option for some DIY repair. I don't need a 115 piece kit like you find on the big retail sites. I just wish it came with a #4, as I was unable to solve my problem with what they had.

Good quality slider
This was 1 of 3 slider I bought from Zipper Shipper to replace a broken slider on an old, favorite jacket. I ended up using a #7 flat locking slider, but all 3 sliders I received appeared to be well-made and high quality.
