Description
#8 molded plastic separating zippers feature teeth that measure approximately 8mm (0.3 inches) wide when zipped. Often called sport zippers or parka zippers, #8 molded plastic separating zippers separate at the bottom, jacket-style. These are one-way zippers (they have one slider). This is the perfect in-between zipper when a #5 gauge is too light, but a #10 is too heavy.

#10 is/was "correct" for my "Carrhardt" jacket!
TY! re "Zipper Pulls/Slider" of the metal variety. I figured the necessary size was either a #8 versus #10. Works wonderfully. The only difficulty was the removal of the upper "zipper stop" in the zipper proper. I didn't have the proper tool, yet "improvised" in removing the old broken "pull/slider"; followed by multiple layers of thread creating an improvised "zipper pull/slider" end "stop," placing many layers of thread (by needle) around the final zipper location. Works! TY!
