#5 Non-lock Slider For Nylon Coil Zipper

Fixed the removable liner on a 25-year-old leather jacket.

I used this to replace the slider for a hooded sweatshirt jacket whose pull had broken off. The only complication was having to cut some threads to get to the top of the zipper and then sewing up the top of the zipper to return the appearance to normal.

The three sliders I bought are working very well. The difficult part of replacing them was getting them back on the tracks. I came up with the idea to use surgical hemostats to clamp both tracks and finally got them started. Then I used a needle and thread to create a stop for the slider. On other projects I’ve used an Arrow T-50 staple for that by inserting with pliers and bending the legs over and pressing them down tight with a screw driver. Both methods have never failed.

Like all the products I have ordered from the company, it was exactly what I needed. I repair coats and jackets for my family and friends and Zipper Shipper is the only place I can find what I need. I don't even bother going to fabric stores for zippers anymore.
