Description

Zipper sliders sold separately. This zipper is compatible with the #7 reverse bale slider for nylon coil zipper sold by Zipper Shipper® (as seen in photo).

Suitable for 1- and 2-way zippers. You can make both 1-way and 2-way zippers from nylon coil zipper chain. A 2-way zipper that opens from the middle bag-style can be constructed by simply attaching the sliders in the configuration you want.

Zipper chain can only be used for closed-end zipper applications. Water-resistant separating zippers (up to 36 in) can be found via the #7 water resistant coil separating zipper product page.

Please note on Ordering Zipper Chain - Zipper chain is sold by the yard. Enter the number of desired yards in the box below. A quantity of 1 = 1 yard. A quantity of 10 = 10 yards, etc. Zipper chain will come as 1 continuous zipper, regardless of yards ordered. A quantity of 10 yards, for example, will come as 10 yards of continuous zipper chain and not 10 pieces that are 1 yard each.

Searched for water resistent chain and couldnt find it anywhere. This works really well.

Perfect to repair surfboard bag

The heavy duty original zippers on our windsurfing board bag became unusable after corrosion from salt and sand. I was able to remove the old zippers and replace both the straight zipper for the fin and the long main zipper, and was very happy to be able to put on two zipper pulls head-to-head for the main opening. I ordered one long piece of zipper tape and easily cut it into the sizes I needed for the two separate zippers, and they sewed on easily with my regular sewing machine. We haven't used the repaired bag long-term yet to see how the new zippers will hold up against corrosion, but so far so good. TIP FOR FIRST-TIMERS: This water-resistant zipper goes on more like an invisible zipper (teeth inside) rather than typical zippers (teeth outside). If you're having trouble getting the zipper pulls on, try flipping the zipper over. The pulls go on easily when you get it the right way.
