Continuous Zipper Chain

Continuous zipper chain that is cut to your specification is often referred to as “zipper by the yard.” This means a piece of zipper chain is cut to a length of your choice. Specify the number of yards you need, and a piece of exactly that yardage amount will be cut from the spool. You will need to attach a zipper slider to it (sold separately) and sew over it to create stopping points at the top and bottom, or use zipper top stop and bottom stop hardware (also sold separately).

Zippers by the yard are perfect to work with if you plan to make a lot of long zippers or create zippers in lengths that are hard to find. Zippers by the yard are used by workrooms for all kinds of uses, including upholstery, outdoor cushions, and pillows.

Zipper Shipper offers a wide selection of zipper chain by the yard. Also known as continuous zipper chain, this is "raw" zipper material without any stops. It is unfinished zipper material. You receive it in a “zipped” position, and you assemble the rest of the zipper yourself by adding the slider and stops.

Corresponding sliders are available and are sold individually. Continuous zipper chain (or zipper tape as it is sometimes called) is suitable for closed-ended applications only - you cannot make a separating zipper out of zipper chain. Zipper tape is particularly handy for projects that utilize longer than average zippers because you can create custom zippers of any length.

Zipper Shipper offers zippers by the yard with metal teeth, molded plastic teeth, nylon zipper teeth, and metallic coil zipper teeth. Bulk discounts are available for lengths of 10+ yards and 100+ yards for many styles. We do not have any order minimums, so you can order as little as 1 yard.
