We stock a number of separating and closed-end tent zippers. If you need a zipper that fully separates and comes apart completely in two pieces (like on a jacket), consider one of the separating zippers listed on this page. If you need a closed-end zipper, check out our large selection of continuous zipper chain, which is perfect for making extra-long closed-end zippers.
The #10 gauge zippers are the most heavy duty and durable, and are a good choice for a replacement zipper on a larger tent or a tent that gets a lot of use. Zipper Shipper offers #10 tent zippers with molded plastic zipper teeth, zippers with nylon coil zipper teeth and zippers with metal teeth.
Medium weight #5 brass metal zippers, #5 molded plastic zippers and #5 nylon coil zippers are also available, and are worth considering for children's tents. #5 gauge zippers are also great for inside tent pockets and similar medium-weight applications.
Nylon coil tent zippers are the most popular option for tents as these universal zippers are super flexible and are best for tents that require zippers to go around curves.
Tent zippers with molded plastic zipper teeth are marine-grade and UV-ray resistant, and are designed to withstand the elements. They weigh much less than zippers with metal teeth.
With all of our tent zippers, you have a choice of sliders. Auto-lock sliders lock into place when the pull tab is in the down position, and can't be moved except when the pull tab is pulled downward. Non-locking sliders can be pulled from any direction. Zippers with two-handle sliders - which are our most popular for tents - allow for access from both inside and outside the tent door.

We purchased this zipper to replace a broken one in the tonneau cover of a 1960 Bugeye Sprite. I removed the old zipper and hand stitched this one in place using the holes from the first stitching. The Zipper works very smoothly, looks good, and is the perfect solution.
