Description
#10 molded plastic extra-long two-way separating zippers feature teeth that measure approximately 10mm (1/2 inch) wide when zipped. These zippers separate at the bottom, jacket-style.
These are heavy-duty 2-way zippers (they have two sliders), and are sometimes called dual zippers, double zippers, or two-head zippers. These zippers unzip from the top down AND the bottom up.
Each slider has two-handles, meaning the zipper can be accessed from both the inside and outside of the item it's placed in. They are especially useful for sleeping bags and tents, as you can circulate air more easily than with a one-way zipper. The 2-handled sliders allow zipping from either the inside of the structure or the outside of the structure.

A Great Heavy Duty Zipper
So I ordered #4's and #5's to see which would work best on a dining chair I was recovering. This zipper was quite heavy duty, and exceeded what I needed. It would be GREAT to use on a chair cushion or even a homemade backpack. Quality zipper and I will use it on another project.

I have some steel hairpin chairs that were covered with vegan leather. The leather started to peel and flake but I loved the function of these chairs. I took one apart and was able to create a pattern to sew new coverings for these chairs, reusing the existing piping and zipper. Until I go to chair #5...ugh, the person who stapled the underside to the chair CUT THE ZIPPER AT THE BASE. There was no way to repair the zipper. An online search revealed Zipper Shipper and not knowing "what size" I needed, I ordered #4's and #5's since these are larger than what is available at my local sewing craft store. The #4's were perfect and I was able to finish the chair project. Thank you Zipper Shipper for these amazing products and for giving more years of life to my favorite dining chairs.
