#5 nylon coil two-way separating zippers are medium-weight and feature teeth that measure approximately 5mm (1/4 inch) wide when zipped. These #5 nylon zippers separate at the bottom, jacket-style. These are 2-way zippers, also called dual zippers, double zippers, or two-head zippers (they have two sliders). Great for long coats!

Zelek Herman I am almost finished sewing by hand the 48" coil zipper into a heritage Eastpak backpack. The zipper was as advertised and arrived in good time. Since I wanted it for a backpack, rather than a jacket, I had to reverse the two pulls. This worked well. This is my second purchase with Zipper Shipper, and I am very pleased with the Web site and the selection of zippers.

Just so you know for future - we sell nylon coil zipper chain by the yard in various sizes (#3, #5, #7, #8, #10), and the chain is quite popular for backpack-style zippers. Sliders are sold separately, and you can attach them in whatever configuration you want. People like the chain because it comes in a variety of colors, lengths, and we have a variety of sliders to choose from (including long pull, etc).

#7 Gunmetal Coil Separating Jacket Zipper
Works great
7.5 mm winter coat zipper -> #8 slider.
Easy install after removing the old top stops (via wire cutters).
Replaced both sliders and the top stops (pliers to close the new stops in place).
Don't forget to:
1. Identify your zipper type from Zipper Shipper's guide
2. Measure your zipper width per Zipper Shipper's guide
3. Pick the right slider per Zipper Shipper's guide
4. Buy 2 new top stops, since installing new sliders means cutting off the old ones (Zipper Shipper has packs of 10)
