Nylon Coil Zippers
Nylon coil zippers are often referred to as "universal zippers" because they are found on virtually everything, from pillows and upholstery to jackets and tents. They feature coiled zipper "teeth" that are coiled together rather than individual interlocking teeth like what can be found on other types of zippers. Sometimes, these zippers are called self-healing zippers. Zippers with nylon coil teeth are great for taking curves, for example on a bag or tent, and are often preferred over metal zippers for applications that require the zipper to curve. The higher the gauge, the larger the zipper. #2 zippers are very lightweight, #10 zippers are very heavy duty.

Purchased to use while shortening a heavy duty #10 molded plastic zipper. Worked great, I just had to get out a larger pair of pliers to get more leverage to clamp it shut tight.
I was pleasantly surprised to be able to buy a zipper pull. It definitely was faster and easier and cheaper than buying and putting in a new zipper.
I didn't know that such things could be purchased. I looked up on the internet how to replace a zipper pull and found out that a stopper could also be purchased. At first, I considered not buying them and decided I would be sorry if I didn't. I'm glad I did. The instructions showed how to remove the stopper with a pair of needle nose but for me using a small thin flat screwdriver worked the best, except the stopper flew across the room never to be found. I was glad I bought a pkg. of stoppers which I fastened onto my garment with the needle nose pliers. They were a good investment.
The zippers look and feel great. They should work well in my project.
