Jean Zippers
Jean zippers are what you might be looking for if the zipper on your jeans or a pair of pants is broken, or if you are getting crafty and designing your own jeans. If you need a replacement zipper for jeans, determine how wide you need the zipper teeth to be. #5 zippers are medium weight and measure 5mm across the zipper teeth when zipped. #4.5 are lighter weight jeans zippers and are often used for ladies' pants. Jean zippers are closed-ended, meaning they do not detach completely at the bottom. Colorful jean zippers have other uses as well, ranging from pockets to pouches.

Purchased to use while shortening a heavy duty #10 molded plastic zipper. Worked great, I just had to get out a larger pair of pliers to get more leverage to clamp it shut tight.
I was pleasantly surprised to be able to buy a zipper pull. It definitely was faster and easier and cheaper than buying and putting in a new zipper.
I didn't know that such things could be purchased. I looked up on the internet how to replace a zipper pull and found out that a stopper could also be purchased. At first, I considered not buying them and decided I would be sorry if I didn't. I'm glad I did. The instructions showed how to remove the stopper with a pair of needle nose but for me using a small thin flat screwdriver worked the best, except the stopper flew across the room never to be found. I was glad I bought a pkg. of stoppers which I fastened onto my garment with the needle nose pliers. They were a good investment.
The zippers look and feel great. They should work well in my project.
