Description
#5 molded plastic two-way separating zippers feature teeth that measure approximately 5mm (1/4 inch) wide when zipped. Often called sport zippers or parka zippers, #5 molded plastic two-way separating zippers separate at the bottom, jacket-style.
These are 2-way zippers (they have two sliders) and are sometimes referred to as dual zippers, double zippers, or two-head zippers. These zippers zip down from the top and up from the bottom.
When the zipper is installed in a jacket, the bottom slider can move up the track, unzipping the lower portion of the zipper and allowing one’s legs room to move around more freely. Great for long coats!

I didn't know that such things could be purchased. I looked up on the internet how to replace a zipper pull and found out that a stopper could also be purchased. At first, I considered not buying them and decided I would be sorry if I didn't. I'm glad I did. The instructions showed how to remove the stopper with a pair of needle nose but for me using a small thin flat screwdriver worked the best, except the stopper flew across the room never to be found. I was glad I bought a pkg. of stoppers which I fastened onto my garment with the needle nose pliers. They were a good investment.
