Brass Metal Zippers
Brass metal zippers have many uses: coats, jackets, jeans, purses, boots, sleeping bags, and more! The zipper teeth on these zippers are made of metal and look gold in color. The gauge of the zipper indicates how wide the zipper teeth are when zipped. #5 means the zipper teeth measure 5 millimeters in width when zipped, #10 means the zipper teeth measure 10 millimeters in width when the zipped, etc. The higher the gauge, the more heavy duty the zipper is. So a #10 is heavy-duty, while a #5 zipper is medium-weight. If you need a brass metal zipper for a coat or jacket, make sure it is a separating zipper. A separating zipper detaches completely at the bottom. In contrast, if you are using the zipper for upholstery or a project where the zipper doesn't need to separate completely, you can work with zipper chain by the yard or any of the closed-ended metal zippers within this section.
Another type of brass metal zipper available is the two-way separating zipper. Two-way brass zippers unzip from the bottom and the top. Being able to unzip from the bottom allows more flexibility toward the bottom of the garment. For example, when driving, the bottom of a jacket can open up partially to allow room for one’s legs to move more freely.
Brass metal zipper teeth are a nice, durable material. As far was weight, they are a bit heavier than zippers with molded plastic or nylon coil zipper teeth, and slightly lighter than nickel metal zipper teeth.

I thought i was ordering the same kind as last time however I missordered. Was not the type of teeth that i like to have, when I went to check the zipping ability I could not get it unzipped. Decided I needed to check a previous order and get the correct one. The new order came yesterday and was perfect. I will keep the one that I missordered as it was my error. Figured I could use it for something else when I can get it opened. My bad.
The zippers came on time in exactly the colors expected. I was desperate after not being able to find separating zippers locally in any thing but black, white and navy.
