Description
The #5 nylon coil separating zippers with Q pull is a medium-weight zipper that features teeth that measure just over 5mm (1/4 inch) wide when zipped.
This zipper features an auto-lock slider with a Q pull, which is larger than a standard pull and allows for easy gripping (perfect for when wearing gloves!). The larger pull can also be helpful for those with arthritic conditions. The large hole in the pull also allows for the attachment of a pull tab or fabric swatch, if desired.
These #5 nylon zippers separate at the bottom, jacket-style. These are one-way zippers (they have one slider).
This zipper is right-handed when worn (slider is on the right).

Purchased to use while shortening a heavy duty #10 molded plastic zipper. Worked great, I just had to get out a larger pair of pliers to get more leverage to clamp it shut tight.

I didn't know that such things could be purchased. I looked up on the internet how to replace a zipper pull and found out that a stopper could also be purchased. At first, I considered not buying them and decided I would be sorry if I didn't. I'm glad I did. The instructions showed how to remove the stopper with a pair of needle nose but for me using a small thin flat screwdriver worked the best, except the stopper flew across the room never to be found. I was glad I bought a pkg. of stoppers which I fastened onto my garment with the needle nose pliers. They were a good investment.
