Description
#5 plastic Nomex® fire retardant continuous zipper chain by the yard is made of medium-weight DuPont Zytel® plastic resin teeth that measure approximately 5mm (1/4 inch) wide when zipped. The zipper tape is made of fire-retardant, high-temperature resistant Nomex® material. Tape width on each side is 5/8".
These zippers are UL® tested and certified.
HOW TO ORDER - Continuous zipper chain is available in three convenient options (availability may depend on color). Just pick your length, enter your quantity, and you’re set!
Step 1: Under “Chain Length”, choose exactly what you want:
- 5-yard roll (each roll comes as one continuous piece that's 5 yards long)
- 15-yard roll (each roll comes as one continuous piece that's 15 yards long)
- 219-yard spool (one continuous piece wrapped around manufacturer's spool - perfect for storage!)
Step 2: Enter the quantity (how many of your chosen length you need).
Zipper sliders sold separately. all #5 sliders for molded plastic zippers sold by Zipper Shipper® are compatible with this zipper chain.
Suitable for 1- and 2-way zippers. You can make both 1-way and 2-way zippers from plastic zipper chain. A 2-way zipper that opens from the middle bag-style can be constructed by simply attaching the sliders in the configuration you want.
Zipper chain can be used for closed-end zipper applications ONLY. Separating zippers (up to 30 ft) can be found via our Bottom Separating Zippers listings.
